Almost all phones, especially the upscale, are actually able to handle mobile games, even graphics. Dedicated game phones, however, add special features to facilitate players’ lives. This includes keeping their phones from burning with all this activity. Instead of simply advanced cooling technologies, some game phones range from old school and do fans inside the phone. Ridiculous as it can be surveyed, Samsung may have really taken notification and implement one’s own phone fan in the future.
To be clear, it is not yet a certainty but Samsung has just reserved the phrase marketing for such a functionality. Spotted by Letsgodigital, Samsung requested a trademark in Europe to “activate fan mode” that applies to phones and tablets. Given the none of Samsung’s current mobile devices has only one fan to activate, it is meaning that it will come in a future phone.
Enable fan mode suggests that it is in the future that users will be able to turn off or disable the fan, a back from the “No Fan Mode” that Samsung implemented in the new Galaxy Book Pro laptop. Although no fan mode tries to offer a quieter computer experience, enable fan mode allows users to push their phone’s hardware to the limit without limiting the CPU of heat.
Of course, Samsung phones are not very hot during the game, but they can also suffer from thermal strangulation in this direction. This could be a particular problem when Samsung launches its Exynos 2200 rumor that will come with AMD graphic technology. Samsung will surely try to push such a phone as a game phone and will probably need additional cooling systems to compensate.
Of course, this is still only conjecture based on a single brand ranking. Samsung should first focus on a laptop with the 800 rumor erynos, but a phone can also be on the table. Whether it’s a complete dedicated game phone with an integrated fan is also a distinct possibility, but only a possibility nevertheless.
