Wireless charging can save us from stumbling on cables, but they do not completely keep our phones completely neglected. It is not really easy to use our phones during their wireless charging docks and you often need to position the devices specifically on the hidden load coils. The ideal wireless load solution is of course a completely invisible and intangible solution, and the Motorola partnership with OTA Power Company Guru could bring that to reality soon.
Motorola is hardly the first to present wireless loading OTA as a solution to our charge problems. In fact, Xiaomi triggered the opening times earlier this year when he revealed his air charging technology. OPPO would later follow with its own wireless air recharge, but it seemed to bear a shorter distance from Xiaomi’s vision.
Motorola would show a technology on which he works with more closely the ideals of the OTA wireless load. Although the distance seemed to be a limitation, it also had a security mechanism that stopped loading when something is entered between the phone and the wireless power source. At that time, Motorola seemed to say that the technology was still at first, but a partner now suggests that it could be closer than we think.
OTA Power Company Guru announced a partnership that will bring this convenience to Motorola phones. Its technology is designed to work with various devices, not just phones, and it pushes it towards oys like Motorola. It does not go much in the technical details other than saying that it can deliver the power of the OTA at the distance of one meter.
Whether it’s whether the next Motorola phones this year are of course the question. It can still be to obtain special regulatory approval, given the novelty of technology. This factor could also limit its availability on Motorola’s high-end models that are already few and plunged between them.
