Although based on the same popular Android platform, using OS by Google is not exact. It clearly exceeds the other smart by the mere fact that there are many manufacturers who use it for dozens of smart watches but, as far as mind sharing, Galaxy Samsung watches might really have the advantage. Unfortunately, it can immediately lose that because the company has been consistently rumored to be TIZEN-based SmartWatch OS for OS, but not all good news, at least based on this latest leak.
Tizen is not right at the top of the list of platforms that can be used but, compared to other special smartwatch operating systems, it’s actually fine. It is largely down to the popularity of Samsung itself and the facilities offer when connected with Samsung smartphones. However, the popularity is not enough to convince the application developer to invest in it, which is the reason why Samsung considers the switch.
A report from South Korea puts KakaoTalk for example, one of the most popular messaging platforms in the country. This refused to make an application for the Galaxy Watch series, despite the popularity of Samsung there. Compatibility with many popular applications on OS Wear can be a driving factor behind Samsung’s decision to put it on the upcoming Galaxy Watch 4.
There is another side for the rumor coin, and it doesn’t look beautiful. Even though there were a few months ago, both Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch Active 4 are expected to display non-invasive blood sugar monitoring features. Whether it’s because it switches to use an OS is not known but it is more likely that technology and legal processes to state that features are not ready.
The source said that Samsung will launch the Galaxy Watch 4 and the Galaxy Watch Active 4 side by side for the first time. One of them will be bigger and the others will look more like traditional watches. At present, it is rather confusing which one will and, given the Samsung past naming scheme, the final product may be inconsistent too.
