Reports indicate that an Amazon delivery driver in Cleveland fatally shot a purported 17-year-old carjacker over the weekend, prompting an inquiry. According to Cleveland police, the Amazon employee was accosted by the teenager at approximately 4 p.m. on Saturday. Allegedly, the individual attempted to carjack the Amazon driver at gunpoint. Subsequently, the carjacker commandeered the Amazon driver’s vehicle and attempted to flee, resulting in a crash. During the incident, the Amazon employee reportedly discharged their weapon, striking the suspect. The carjacker was pronounced deceased at the scene. Cleveland police, as well as the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner, are conducting investigations into the matter. While the alleged carjacker has been identified as a 17-year-old male, the identity of the Amazon delivery driver has not been disclosed. It remains unclear whether the driver will face any charges.
